Full Moon Set to Shoot Demonic Toys 2

This news is certainly only going to appeal to a limited group of people. You have to enjoy low budget horror films that center around a variety of toys and puppets. That's right, Charles Band's Full Moon Pictures is prepping a sequel for their 1992 film Demonic Toys, according to Bloody Disgusting.

Band's company has been making enjoyable low budget horror films for decades, and this one is sure to take us back to the company's golden age. The original film centered on a botched bust of some arms dealers that finds the good and bad guys trapped in a warehouse where a spirit is accidentally awakened. The demon animates a number of toys to help it achieve its goals. The film is notable for genre fans because it was written by David S. Goyer (Blade, Batman Begins).

The new film will be directed by Silvia St. Croix, who also directed the second and third entries in Full Moon's Gingerdead Man series. This is also the first direct sequel despite the Toys' appearance in two "versus" films, one with Dollman and another with Puppet Master.

This new film's story finds a young couple traveling to Rome to help a collector and end up trapped in an old castle where the Demonic Toys have been brought back by an ancient puppet. Sounds goofy, but fun!

Sounds a little out of touch from the first two DEMONIC TOYS movies, but I still hope to see it.
