It's been over a year since the last CritCast appeared. Not sure if anyone cares, but thought I would take another stab at it. This was completely off the cuff, nothing was written or rehearsed beforehand. This is the only take that was done. I think it came out decently.

The CritCast watches Just Before Dawn

Recently I was able to attend a 35mm screening of Just Before Dawn with director Jeff Lieberman in attendance. It was a great experience. It was the first time I ever saw this film and seeing it on the big screen as originally intended was a particular treat. This movie may be lumped in with other slashers of the era, it is more than that. Just watch, while the set up seems awfully familiar, the execution is quite different. This is a good film that builds atmosphere and tries to avoid typical horror movie cliches. Watch as I ramble about my experience.

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted. I hope to change that soon. I have been on vacation and attended Monster Mania XXII in Cherry Hill, NJ. It was a great show and I met some great people and amazing artists, plus met a good number of celebrities. Anyone that likes horror should check out these conventions. Anyway, below is a video I made at the show, there is an intro followed by the diary clips from my phone and finishing with a bunch of clips from the Hellraiser panel. Enjoy!

CritCast #12: Early Quality and Star Wars 3D

I has been a few weeks, but my new video is here. This time out I have used a better quality camera, so hopefully that helps out a bit. I did learn, though, that it has a 10 minute limit on HD recording. This caused the end to get cut off, don't worry, it wasn't much, mostly the wrap up. Next time I will bump the resolution down a bit to allow for longer recording. You don't need to see me in high definition anyway. Well, hope you enjoy the new edition:
