What? No love for the Fantastic Four? I don't really blame you, that fist trailer doesn't inspire much confidence, especially compared to what's been coming out for the new Batman film, which was the one I voted for. Anyway, I feel the need to give some quick thoughts regarding these upcoming flicks.

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. We have been burned by the first 2 prequels, which I have enjoyed, but don't have the magic of the originals. Everyone is promising that this is different, I certainly hope so. I absolutely loved the trailer, it did a lot to restore my faith, but we will have to wait and see.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I recently saw the full trailer for this, and I must say that it is brilliant. I had read the first book years ago, I hope that this film does it justice. This has the potential of being a lot of fun.

Batman Begins. I think I may be setting myself up for a fall, but I am eagerly looking forward to it. It has a phenomenal cast, great writer/director team. It has all the tools for success, lets hope that it will capitalize.

Fantastic Four. The effects used to give us our four heroes looks pretty good, but the music video trailer just doesn't look all that impressive. But I still think that I will find myself in the theater come opening.

War of the Worlds. Steven Spielberg reunites with Tom Cruise to give us another vision of the HG Welles classic. I recently saw the full trailer and it looks good, but I will reserve judgment until I see it to compare it to the George Pal film.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Another remake brings this list to a close, but it is not a film remake, but another version of the novel. It is being brought forth by the one and only Tim Burton and his pal Johnny Depp. This looks wonderfully bizarre.

That brings us to a close, until next month....
