American Violet - Poster, Trailer

This movie looks pretty good. It is a true life drama centered on a young African American woman named Dee Roberts. Her apartment complex is raided by the police on a drug sting and she is arrested and charged with dealing narcotics. She is innocent, having had nothing to do with drugs. She is now faced with going home to her children an ex-con, or remain behind bars and fight for justice. It looks like an interestin drama with a good cast. Newcomer Nicole Beharie stars as Dee, she is joined by Tim Blake Nelson, Will Patton, Xzibit, Charles Dutton, and Alfre Woodard.
