The last big news regarding Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince was that it was being bumped from its November opening to July of 2009. Disappointing news, for sure, but think about how great the anticipation will be when it finally arrives! Hopefully it will be worth the wait. The news is that 25 minutes of the new film will be in IMAX 3D. This is up from the 17 minutes that was in Order of the Phoenix. Now all of you fans can start debating on which scenes will be graced by this news.
I have to say, this 3D thing keeps getting bigger. How long before they start rolling these 3D projectors out wider? I know, I know, it's not cheap, but I am sure it is coming. Especially as their money making potential is proven. I also wonder if they will do these IMAX 3D sequences in RealD or similar process to get it into more theaters?
