The first trailer for this comic adaptation has come out, and it looks quite good. I am not familiar with the source material, so all I know about it has come from the trailer.
It appears to be set in an alternate version of England. A totalitarian government is in control, and they don't appear to be nice people. There is a lone person seeking to take back control, codename V.
Natalie Portman stars in it, and we are shown in the trailer that she is about to be executed unless she gives up who V is. Of course she doesn't. The trailer then shows V creating havoc in the police state.
The trailer looks good, action, intrigue, a new look for the future. I am intrigued. Now I just have to wait until it opens in November.
Recently there has been some increased talks about content. With the recent bombings in London, there was talk of excising a portion of the film which deals with bombings in the London subways. The filmmakers have said that they will not be cutting any of this out.
