Emmy Predictions - Quick 2008 Edition

Wow, time just gets away so fast. The 2008 Emmy Awards are on tonight, not much time to go through all of the nominees and give my thoughts, but I still need to share some quick thoughts on who I think will win. So, in lieu of in depth analysis, allow me to share video clips of the shows and actors that I am pulling for in the major categories. Not only do I give my support, but I give you some videos to check out, including a couple of full episodes!

Outstanding Comedy Series: 30 Rock (I would not be upset with The Office)

Outstanding Drama Series: House M.D. (Battlestar Galactica was robbed)

Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series: Tough call, but I am going with Alec Baldwin for 30 Rock (I really like Steve Carell and Lee Pace as well)

If that didn't make you laugh, you don't have a pulse.

Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series: Bryan Cranston for Breaking Bad, I have only seen a little of this series, but Cranston is great and vastly underrated.

Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series: Tina Fey for 30 Rock

Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series: Glenn Close for Damages

Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series: Neil Patrick Harris for How I Met Your Mother (with Rainn Wilson a close second). I just recently discovered this series, and man is Harris funny!

Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series: Michael Emerson for Lost, I am not as big a fan as I used to be, but Emerson's Ben is excellent.

Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series: Kristen Chenoweth for Pushing Daisies (I love this show)

Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series: Not really a fan of any of these shows, but I will go with Sandra Oh for Grey's Anatomy

Outstanding Variety, Music Or Comedy Series: The Colbert Report (toss up with the equally strong Daily Show) and yes I know this clip is from the current season.

Now make sure you tune in and see how close I got!
