Movie Media: Pineapple Express - Poster

The Apatow camp sure is keeping busy. After hitting it big with Knocked Up and Superbad in 2007, and the flop (but still strong Walk Hard), he has not one but three films coming from his corner of the comedic universe. First up is Forgetting Sarah Marshall, another is Drillbit Taylor. After those, there is Pineapple Express, written by the Superbad team of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. Rogen stars as a guy who, after taking a hit of weed witnesses a hit (meaning murder). Sounds like the perfect setup. The film also features the return of James Franco to the Apatow camp for the first time since Freaks & Geeks. It aloso features David Gordon Green at the helm, in a change of pace from his usually dramatic realm. Needless to say, the trailer looks hilarious.
