So, it has finally arrived. The first trailer for the Death Wish remake has arrived. When I first heard about it I thought, like I do about a lot of projects, I’ll believe it when I see it. It had been announced that Eli Roth would be directing and that Bruce Willis would be stepping into Charles Bronson’s legendary shoes. These announcements only enhanced the I’ll believe it when I see it feeling. Of course, there are those who decried the idea of a remake and others who seemed more than willing to give it a shot. Well, it is real, it is coming. What do you think?

Movie Review: The Green Inferno
I remember the first time I watched Cannibal Holocaust. I hated it. Completely hated every moment of it and don't get me started on the animal violence in it. There was something about it that just rubbed me the wrong way. That reaction was way back in 2006, not that long ago, right? In the years since I have made my peace with the film, even coming to be a fan of it. I have seen it projected in a theater a couple of times and attended a panel with star Robert Kerman. It is a movie that does not lose its power. It remains a very effective film and a very unsettling experience. It is the granddaddy of cannibal horror, and now we have a new film looking to recapture the feel of that grindhouse classic, Eli Roth's The Green Inferno.

Movie Review: Aftershock (2013)
So, the other day I just happened to be scanning the local theaters to see what they had, not sure why, there usually isn't a whole lot of variety. Then I came across a theater I haven't been to in years and discovered they had the Eli Roth produced Aftershock. I had heard of the film, even seen the trailer, but figured I wouldn't see it in theaters since it was only getting a limited release (along with VOD, I believe). Talk about a pleasant surprise.
