Nearly five years ago a little, unassuming movie arrived in theaters with the absolutely ridiculous title of Hot Tub Time Machine. It still sounds silly. Right? It does, doesn't it? It sounds really goofy and probably really bad. Surprisingly, that movie was really quite good. I guess it had a decent enough of a theatrical run and a solid DVD market that Paramount figured a sequel would be a safe bet. The problem is that it took five years to come out and also that it arrives missing one of its stars. John Cusack did not return for this trip, in his place we have Adam Scott. So, was a sequel really needed? Is it worth checking out?

Movie Review: Sex Tape
Sex Tape was the second of two movies I watched last weekend based on an utterly ridiculous concept. The difference being, I really liked what the other one did with it (Lucy). Yes, it is based on a long since debunked myth, but it was still interesting as a look into human potential. Now there is this thing. Somehow I failed to realize just how ludicrous an idea it really is. Sure, it looks like a fun high concept to base a movie on, but the execution is so bland and lackluster that the whole thing feels wasted. I actually think that is a shame, I think this idea could have been used to much better effect.

Movie Review: In A World...
In a world.... Everyone knows those famous words. You probably even read them using a movie trailer voice in your head. What you may not know is the name of the man who made those words famous, the biggest name in the voice over game, Don La Fontaine. He passed away a few years ago, but left a lasting mark on Hollywood. His legacy is also the jumping off point for a movie that takes those words for its own. In A World... is the writing/directing debut for actress Lake Bell, who also stars.
