Tales of Light and Dark is a new web series created by writer/director Glen Baisley. The series has been moving along well with a series of nicely constructed multi-part arcs. All of it has been leading up this final episode of the season, a two parter that grows from what has gone before and definitely feels a bit more ambitious in execution. It has been quite entertaining watching the series grow, getting more and more ambitious with its multi-part episodes. This is good as they are quick watches and with multiple parts, you can have bigger stories. If you happen to run into Mr. Baisley out somewhere shooting or at an event like the Hudson Horror Show, be sure to say hi and have a chat about low-budget film making or even just movies in general!

Tales of Light and Dark is a new web series created by writer/director Glen Baisley. The series is chugging along with the release of episode 3, the first of a three part arc. The series is growing by leaps and bounds, getting more and more ambitious as it has quickly moved from it's initial 10 minute length and moving onto stories that are 20 and 30-minutes in length. This is a good thing as they are quick watches and with multiple parts, you can have bigger stories. Tales of Light and Dark is a new web series created by writer/director Glen Baisley. The series is about to premiere part one of episode two. Yes, they have already jumped into multi-part episodes. Don't worry, they are quick watches, coming in at about 10-minutes apiece. Last month I happened to run into Mr. Baisley at the Hudson Horror Show in Poughkeepsie, NY, and he asked if I was interested in getting a sneak peak at the two-parter. Of course, I jumped at the chance.

DVD Review: Fairview Falls - Insanity Edition

My first exposure to Glen Baisley and his work came a few years back at the inaugural Hudson Horror Show (if you have not had the pleasure of attending, look them up, they put on great shows). The show featured a few short pieces directed by Mr. Baisley, including the show introduction (featuring my first glimpse of the Black Rose Killer, whose presence casts a long shadow over Fairview Falls). While I was there primarily for the feature films (with Zombie and Evil Dead), it was certainly interesting to see some indie sensibilities playing in the horror playground.
