It seems that anytime we get to see Michael Keaton on the big scree, it is a treat. I did not always think that. Frankly, there was a lot of time when I really didn't give Keaton much thought at all. Still, over the years I have found his screen presence to be fascinating. The man is quirky, talented, and knows how to be his character. Even when he appears for a few scant minutes in the barely mediocre Need for Speed is a treat. Even White Noise sees Keaton working some magic. While it seems he is rarely on the big screen, he has been working steadily for the better part of four decades. Birdman may be one of his best performances.

Outcast Mini: The Amazing Spider-Man 2
I do not feel all that inspired to review The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but I will say that I enjoyed the film. It is probably the first to really get Spidey's banter. I liked the various plots and how they were fitting together. I liked the Green Goblin. However, the movie was not edited all that well, it felt rather choppy as it jumped to the various threads. Still, I walked out entertained and happy for what I saw. I think Andrew Garfield is a good Parker/Spidey and I like how his parents fit into everything. This entry may not be the best, but it certainly entertains. 3/5

Movie Review: Gangster Squad
Gangster Squad was originally slated for release late last summer, but in the wake of the Aurora tragedy the release was delayed. The delay was partly due to the gun violence, but I suspect it was more the scene depicting a gunfight in a movie theater. The studio was understandably concerned and rightly chose to delay it's release. They also went and removed the theater sequence. I do not agree with this decision even if the scene did not have any impact on the overall story. Still, I found myself in the theater unsure of what quite to expect.
